Abstract

The Standard Pressed Steel Co., of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, have introduced a range of aircraft bolts made from a 5 per cent chromium hot worked die steel called Vascojet 1000, produced by Vanadium‐Alloys Steel Co., Latrobe, Pa. The fastenings are given the name Hi Tm 9 fasteners, and have a minimum U.T.S. at 900 deg. F. of 170,000 lb./sq. in.
