Abstract

The heat generated in the grinding of metal necessitates a constant flow of coolant over the part being ground. This prevents the operator from hearing or seeing when the proper contact has been made between the grinding wheel and the work. To overcome this difficulty B. O. Morris Ltd, Briton Road, Coventry, have designed an indicator which shows the instant at which the grinding wheel touches the work.
