THE need for an ‘industrial’ wind‐tunnel at Saab for tests in conjunction with test flying and project work has been felt for a long time and at the beginning of 1950 this need became acute. It then became necessary to project a serviceable transonic industrial wind‐tunnel which could be built in the shortest possible time and at reasonable cost.
