AB  - This book, of some 500‐odd pages, has for its main object the exposition of the basic theory of jet propulsion and the thermodynamics of the gas turbine and rocket types of engine. The book is well planned except for the insertion in the middle of two chapters dealing with aircraft and propeller performance. These two chapters could very well have been placed at the end, after the purely engine side had been dealt with.
