The de Havilland Hornet Wing Spar: Notes on the Design Considerations Which Led to a Unique Form of Construction

Abstract

IN the following article an outline is given of the design reasons which led up to the type of construction adopted for the Hornet wing spars; together with a description of part of the test programme which was carried out during the development stages.
