AB  - IN AIRCRAFT ENGINEERING, Vol. XIV, March 1932, pp. 63–66, there appeared under the above heading an account of some experiments carried out by M. GEORGES RUDLICKI, the technical director of a Polish firm of aircraft constructors at Lublin, with a novel type of tail consisting of two stabilizers and control surfaces set at an acute dihedral angle to one another in place of the conventional tail comprising vertical and horizontal surfaces. The article included curves of the pitching and yawing moments obtained in tests with a model in the wind tunnel and also photographs of a Hanriot 14 biplane fitted with a Rudlicki vee tail which had been successfully tested in flight by a number of pilots, including a test pilot of the Warsaw Institute for Aeronautical Technical Research (I.B.T.L.). Unfortunately these photographs and curves cannot be reproduced now as the blocks concerned were destroyed, with all the other blocks that had been used in AIRCRAFT ENGINEERING from March 1924 to that date, by enemy action on December 29, 1940.
