TY - JOUR AB - IT is still difficult for the inquiring engineer to obtain information about Russian aircraft, although we have been allies for close on three years. The most fruitful sources of information have been enemy articles on captured aeroplanes and a few articles by neutrals who have inspected captured machines. This article is based on the report of a neutral, and although it is more detailed than most previous ones, it still leaves a large number of gaps in our knowledge. Above all, one would like to know more about actual structural details and standards of workmanship.
