AB  - THE Mosquito aeroplane is, perhaps, the outstanding achievement of this war. While the latest performance figures are still held secret, it may be told that it is the fastest aircraft in operation in the world. The design was not started until after the war began, so that it represents another world record—time from drawing board to operations against the enemy: 22 months—and the prototype flight, trials took place only eleven months after design began.
