AB  - IN an article in the June, 1941, number of AIRCRAFT ENGINEERING, the writer gave an approximate investigation into the stress analysis of a two‐spar skin‐covered wing, the basis of the method being the determination of the moments and shears induced in the spars by the skin covering. These moments and shears are then superimposed on the moments and shears which would occur in the spars were the skin covering to be removed, this latter loading system being statically determinate.
