Drop Stamping Small Parts

Abstract

THE drop stamp has been used extensively and with considerable success in aircraft construction for the forming of large panels. But its use on smaller components has been neglected and largely ignored. This can be accounted for by the fact that most of the drop hammers installed in aircraft factories are for large work and require some time to tool up.
