Abstract

CONSTRUCTIONS Electro — Mécaniques d'Asnières, of 236 Avenue d'Argentières, Asnières, Seine, France, have produced an interesting acoustic sounding gear which, it is claimed, gives accurate indications of the height of the aircraft above actual ground by a measurement of the time elapsing between the emission of a sound signal and the arrival of the echo reflected by the ground or water.
