Abstract

IN the following notes, alternative methods of construction are submitted for certain specified details. There is not always a best method of designing a particular fitting and the alternatives have to be governed by circumstances such as workshop facilities and stock materials as well as the type of machine and its sphere of use, e.g. for seaplanes or other aircraft operating in the vicinity of the sea certain materials and methods of construction have been proved better than others.
