TY - JOUR AB - CONSIDERABLE attention has been devoted in the Press to the technical details of the aeroplanes which took part in this year's Europa Rundflug,† but one important point seems to have been over‐looked almost entirely. And yet it is certainly a noteworthy fact that out of the forty aeroplanes which successfully passed the technical tests, thirty‐six—that is 90 per cent—had adjustable‐pitch metal airscrews. In 1930, only one such airscrew was to be seen on the Rund‐flug aircraft.
