Abstract
IT has been known for some time that the Air Ministry had placed an order with the Black‐burn Aeroplane and Motor Co., Ltd., of Brough, near Hull, for a civil biplane and monoplane to as nearly as possible the same specification, in order that a direct comparison, under closely similar conditions, of the two types of aeroplane might be made. The biplane made its appearance at the R.A.F. Display during this summer, while the monoplane is still under construction.
