TY - JOUR AB - IT was with a feeling of uncertainty that the writer entered the offices of British Salmson Aero Engines, Limited, the firm having only been in being about two years, and not being yet very well known. It seemed doubtful, therefore, whether there would be much system to interest the readers of AIRCRAFT ENGINEERING. A certain amount of confidence was, however, at once gained on being shown into a waiting room which contained three complete engines of different horse‐powers, all mounted on stands at a height that made close examination easy. This room gave one the impression of having entered a well established firm, which was confirmed by a tour of the shops, and it is no rash statement to say that these works are one of the most interesting the writer has visited.
