A Course for Ground Engineers: IV.—Hints on the Inspection and Treatment of Metallic Materials from the point of view of the “B” or “D” Licence Holder
Abstract
IN the previous instalment of this article the composition, structure, and treatment of various metallic materials employed in aircraft construction were considered. It is now proposed to deal with the mechanical testing of these materials necessary to ensure that they comply with the requirements of the specification adopted by the designer.
