Some Likely Developments in Information Technology and Records Management
Abstract
Before you can begin to review a subject of this nature you must first address a set of problems. These range from the problem of defining the time period that you are talking about, (For instance are we talking 2 years, 5 years, or next century?) to the differing pace of records management in places like Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. (For instance, optical disk is something on everybody's lips here, but is largely disregarded in Australia.) You also have to make the distinction of where records management stops and data processing begins.
