Abstract

Sir, knowledge structures in information retrieval. This note has been stimulated by reading the recent article by David Ellis. The cognitive approach in information retrieval (I hesitate to call it a paradigm) is particularly illustrated by thinking of the retrieval process in terms of interacting knowledge structures.
