A STANDARD TO MEASURE ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRESS

Abstract

For organizations struggling with the definition and measurement of their impact on the environment, the International Organization for Standardization is developing a new standard, ISO 14031, for environmental performance evaluation systems. It describes how to target measures to specific environmental objectives and how to present and disseminate the results.
