AB  - Right now, in Washington, decisions are being made about the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. It is important to librarians as the main source of federal funding for research libraries. The words of the immortal philosopher, Yogi Berra, appear to tag the event with remarkable accuracy. Here the redundancy of, “Deja vu all over again,” brings home the message that, unless we are diligent, we librarians will find ourselves once again battling to have input to a process that will have long‐term effect on our funding base.
