FEDERAL FUNDS FOR NETWORKING

Abstract

Whenever new money is appropriated for libraries, it's cause for celebration. That was particularly rare in the early 1980s, but recently Congress has recognized the need for added dollars to support technological implementation. In the latter half of the decade over $3 million was added yearly to grant competitions available to the nation's college and university libraries.
