Abstract

The World Wide Web is the hypertext/graphic images part of the Internet, and forms an ideal medium for organisations to advertise their goods and services and, if desired, to engage in electronic trading. The contents of the Web pages are therefore of crucial importance in presenting the right image to the world. This paper is based on the author's experience in designing pages for the UK Patent Office Search and Advisory Service and getting the pages mounted on the Web.
