Abstract

The paper describes an evaluation of six months' use of Medline on CD‐ROM from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) by end users. The results of a questionnaire indicate that end users are enthusiastic both about using the CD‐ROM and about the citations they have retrieved. During the course of the evaluation the necessity for library staff to instruct end users in storing and retrieving downloaded citations becomes increasingly apparent, to which purpose an electronic cardbox and additional software is introduced.
