FLAME‐CLEANING

Abstract

THE pretreatment of metals which are to receive protective and/or decorative finishes is practised widely in a number of industries. Articles of various shapes and sizes are chemically treated or shot‐ or grit‐blasted, often on a production line basis, so that the succeeding finishing application may have a reasonable expectation of life.
