The subjects discussed are: (1) The protection of steel against corrosion fatigue; (2) investigations into the intercrystalline stress corrosion of steel used in boiler‐making plant; (3) high‐temperature corrosion resistance of steel used in boiler‐making plant; (4) protection against the seizure of machine elements at high temperatures; (5) effects of surface treatment on the corrosion resistivity of steel; (6) effects of surface treatment investigated by using polarisation curves; and (7) repair of car parts by chromium build‐up.
