Case study: installing information technology
Abstract
A professional firm, installing a minicomputer system to undertake its data processing and filing, had to face more extensive and costly changes in the building than it had originally anticipated. The case illustrates typical problems that may arise, some of which can be circumvented, others merely anticipated and planned for. In any event, the building cost implications are considerable.
