How the boardroom can influence warehousing costs
Abstract
When management decisions are being made, consider the plight of the warehouse, advises consultant Jeremy Cecil‐Wright. Boardroom decisions affecting marketing policies can have a major impact on distribution costs without the board realising the implications of its decisions. He goes on to argue that if senior executives better understood the relationship between service requirements and costs, then great savings could be obtained and major costs avoided.
