Abstract
This article looks at the potential gains for the retailer from taking maximum advantage of earning overseas revenue. In particular it examines the value and size of the market made up of expenditure by overseas visitors to the UK, and the opportunities to sell directly to overseas markets. This is an avenue for growth and profit which provides a substantial marketing target. The major issues are summarised in a checklist for operational use.
