AB  - With 25 day special schools and 10 residential special schools, Liverpool is amongst the best‐provided cities in the country in this area of education. The four schools described here are all ESN schools, ie schools for the educationally sub‐normal. Three of them are combined junior and senior schools taking children in at age 7 until the age of 16. This, at least, is one sphere in which the school‐leaving‐age is already fixed.
