UNEMPLOYMENT IS NOT A FATE

Abstract

The policy of the 80's was based on the “no‐nonsense” rule. Everyone focused on the Reagan administration's conservative policy and its solutions were copied elsewhere. In this way the situation of the unemployed — and we are talking about millions of human beings — got worse instead of improving.
