Some Thoughts on Staff Training
53
Abstract
A lad or a girl joins the staff of a library. By so doing he—or she— takes upon himself certain responsibilities towards those he has to serve and towards himself. He has taken unto himself a function and he has given himself a means of expression; he has chosen both how he will be useful to others and how he will get whatever satisfaction he may from his own working life.
