Abstract

Interlending in the British Isles has not changed significantly in the year 1987/88. Demand within regions rose slightly, as did use of BLDSC. The development of Library & Information Plans may improve access considerably. New copyright laws may affect library co‐operation, as would the implications of the UK Government's Green Paper on public libraries. Some progress has been made in audiovisual interlending and automation projects such as VISCOUNT have moved forward. The NCRLC is still debating its constitution. Revised funding for transport schemes has caused some problems and changes. The ADONIS project is now operating well.
