Abstract

Hydrogen is becoming ever more important throughout industry. Of the various known processes for producing high‐purity hydrogen and oxygen, the most popular is the electrolytic breakdown of water. By applying an electric current to it, water can be broken down into hydrogen and oxygen as follows;
