Abstract

The continued introduction of improved surface coatings for the structural fabricating industry has resulted in increasingly stringent requirements for correct surface preparation prior to the application of these coatings. Consistent surface treatment to the correct degree of cleanliness with the required profile and surface roughness is essential if the full life expectancy of the coatings system is to be realised.
