Abstract

After a Sunday morning service in York Minster attended by the Synod of the Church of England — comprising the two Archbishops, most of the bishops, and representatives of the clergy and laity — on 8th July, 1984, many of those present commented on the beauty of the Minster interior, in particular the south transept where sunlight flooded through the great Rose Window.
