Abstract

It is obvious that, in carrying out structural surveys of buildings, defective and damaged elements must be identified and appropriate comments made in any subsequent report. Strictly speaking, this may be regarded as one of the basic reasons for conducting such surveys and there can be no suggestion that there should be any change in this recognised form of practice.
