Modular Delivers £1 Million Micro Relay System

Abstract

Modular Automation, which claims to be the UK's largest independent automation house, has delivered a complete assembly system for automotive micro relays to the North Carolina factory of Elbi Hiram, the US sister company of Italian electrical components manufacturer OMP. The system is designed to operate on a two second cycle time, giving an output of 10,000 relays per shift. The line is to run on three shifts, six days a week.
