Using Swiss assembly technology to make quartz alarm clocks

Abstract

At the East Dereham factory of the UK's largest clock manufacturer, Metamec, advanced product technology and manufacturing automation are producing a cost effective saleable product. The largest single platen transfer assembly machine ever built by Lanco is being used to assemble quartz clock movements.
