Training package

Abstract

A new learning package will soon be available from the Continuing Education department of the Open University. Called MICROPROCESSORS AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: A COURSE FOR INDUSTRY, it is designed to give managers and others in industry the microprocessor knowledge they need in order to decide whether their company's product is one into which a microprocessor can successfully be incorporated and, if so, when is the right time to launch a new, microprocessor‐based, version of their product. A big advantage to industry of this package is that employees do not need to take time off to attend seminars or residential courses: the package is completely self‐contained and can be studied at the employee's place of work or even in his home.
