A Note on Revenue‐Maximising Oligopoly

Abstract
This paper considers Baumol‐type, revenue‐maximising firms in an explicit oligopoly framework. It shows, somewhat surprisingly, that, in contrast to the profit‐maximising case, an increase in firm numbers leads to an increase in market price in revenue‐maximising equilibrium.
