Online next-of-kin database saves the emergency services time and money

Launched earlier this year, MyNextof Kin.com provides an online database which the emergency services can access at the scene of an accident, 24 hours a day.

The first 20 minutes are significant in terms of a victim's full recovery, and research indicates that the emergency services often do not know who they are treating or rescuing for up to an hour of arrival at an incident.

Prior to the launch of the original site www.mynextofkin.com there was no central database available on the Internet holding basic information on individuals that could be accessed worldwide by password-approved emergency services.

Created by James and Sue Sutcliffe, the online secure database of vital information is used to store personal history, next-of-kin details as well as contact numbers and other personal information. If a member is involved in an accident, not only does the system enable the emergency services to know who to contact immediately, but a full description and vital details can be accessed in minutes, providing information that could save lives.

The service will enable the emergency services to reduce costs through better use of time. Information stored will provide vital information enabling prompt identification, and eliminate delays informing relatives of the member's condition and location.

Security is naturally of prime importance and the company is committed to protecting privacy. The secure server encrypts all information that a member inputs before it is sent to the database. This means that even if someone were able to access data, they would not be able to read it.

The MNoK Group of companies provides a number of services, members of which receive automatic membership to mynextofkin.com.
