2 March 2000 – Ksar El Kebir Area, Morocco

At least 34 people died on Wednesday when a train collided with a tractor in northern Morocco, authorities said. The victims were farm workers who were riding in a cart pulled by the tractor, the royal police said. The crash occurred in heavy fog as the tractor went over a train crossing near the town of Ksar el Kebir, 110 miles north of Rabat.

8 March 2000 – Dharamsala Area, India

At least 22 people were killed and 30 injured when a train hit a bus at an unmanned railway crossing in India's northern state of Himachal Pradesh, the United News of India reported today. The news agency said the accident occurred at Raja Ka Bagh area near Dharamsala town when the bus, carrying 60 members of a marriage party, hit a local train late yesterday. UNI said the toll could rise as many people were still trapped in the wreckage.
