Purpose – heralds that advent of e-mentoring and discusses how it is delivered. Design/methodology/approach – reviews the arguments for and against e-mentoring. Discusses how e-mentoring is delivered, how to prepare for e-mentoring and how to manage the mentoring relationship in this context. Discusses the technology involved in e-mentoring. Illustrates the use of e-mentoring by providing two short case studies of it. Findings – argues that e-mentoring is a very powerful approach to learning, which can be used effectively with individuals and with entire organizations.
