Choosing an advisor

Choosing an advisor

Peart MNZ Business, (New Zealand), Jun 2005, Start page: 34, No of pages: 3

Purpose – to open up the area of business advice and mentoring for the small entrepreneur. Design/methodology/approach – flags up the fact that mentoring has become rather an “in” word and is now available commercially, but that volunteer coaches who cost a small business person nothing are still accessible; discusses both options and profiles a supermarket owner who sought a mentor. Originality/value – warns that there is no quick-fix, one-size-fits-all in business mentoring.Classification(s): Top Management – Small businesses; Premier Management; Management Styles; StrategyStyle: ViewpointISSN: 0113-4957
