The Advanced Digital Institute (ADI) has been awarded a research and development contract by Filtronic Defence Limited (Filtronic Defence).

Filtronic Defence, part of internationally renowned Filtronic PLC, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of products and subsystems used in radars, electronic support measures (ESM) and electronic counter measures systems that protect modern military platforms from hostile threats.

The contract is for the research and development of advanced Man Machine Interfaces for ESM systems and will see ADI’s Embedded Systems team working closely with Filtronic Defence throughout the research and development programme.

Russell Wilkes, Sector Manager for the Embedded Systems team said, “We are thrilled to be working with an acknowledged technology leader in the Defence sector. Filtronic Defence has been supplying microwave components and integrated subsystems to the Defence industry for over thirty years. We are looking forward to developing a long-term collaborative relationship with them.”
