PWB Interconnect Solutions Inc. (Ontario, Canada) and Polar Instruments (Waterlooville, UK) have signed an agreement for Polar to distribute and market PWB's Interconnect stress test (IST) systems and test services throughout Europe. PWB has chosen to select Polar as a partner in Europe following on from a long and successful relationship with Polar Instruments (Asia Pacific), who represents PWB in Asia (Plate 1).

IST from PWB is an IPC-TM-650 approved method for PCB reliability test; it is a fast, proven, economic and environmentally friendly compared to traditional reliability test methods. Companies building PCBs intended for durable or high reliability applications, including automotive, communications infrastructure, military and aerospace can benefit from understanding how new processes and materials impact PCB reliability. PWB provides a test service for customers who need occasional analysis or alternatively can provide both systems which includes complete in-house reliability analysis training.
