Cimnet Systems launches Engenixe
Engenix is a new intelligent engineering execution solution, according to its developers, Cimnet Systems Inc.
The new product is a standalone, rules-based software solution that integrates engineering, shop floor, and business systems processes into a central hub of engineering information throughout the enterprise. Engenix tackles the challenges of pre- production engineers who are faced with engineering complex PCBs. Traditionally, pre-production engineers have been forced to develop their own internal engineering support systems and to rely upon volumes of paperwork. In addition to creating difficulties for individual engineers, this information bottleneck is even worse for engineering teams, where workflow productivity and time-to-production depend heavily on real-time, collaborative information sharing.
A lack of integrated information makes engineering team collaboration a highly manual process inefficient, time and labor intensive, and often error-prone. As product life cycles shorten and products become more complex, customer requirements are demanding that pre-production engineers achieve rapid prototyping and more accurate product costing. In addition, customer requirements dictate fast turnaround, adding more pressure to an already overburdened engineering team.
