"electronica 2000", the most important trade fair in Europe for electronic components, has just come to an end. There the Ruwel-Group has received orders with a total value of approximately DM700 million for the next few years. Ruwel is planning to achieve a turnover of DM560 million for the coming year, which is more than a realistic target now. The biggest single transaction during the fair in Munich was the supply contract with the Bosch enterprise, which includes circuit boards to the value of over DM500 million for the next three years. Bosch is known, among other things, as the leading supplier of electronic products in the automotive field. The two companies are enjoying a partnership type business relationship which has been going on for decades. Plate 2 shows the top Bosch delegation at the Ruwel exhibition stand in Munich.

At the moment, final discussions are taking place with Siemens, which wants to double its turnover with Ruwel in the year 2001 alone, in the field of information and communication networks. As representative for the management of this enterprise, Werner Kalz presented the award for "Circuit board supplier of the year" to the owner Bernd Zevens in Munich (Plate 3). This award recognised the extraordinary performance of the Ruwel-Group with respect to quality, technology, marketing and logistics.
