Preface
It is a great pleasure to introduce this special issue of selected papers presented at the 12th International IGTE Symposium on Numerical Field Calculation in Electrical Engineering held in September 2006 in Graz, Austria. More than 110 colleagues from 21 countries contributed to IGTE 2006 presenting 30 oral speeches and more than 60 posters. The conference covered numerical techniques in electromagnetism, optimal design and parameter optimization in electromagnetism as well as reconstruction.
A limited number of 26 papers was selected by a panel of three reviewers per paper. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the reviewers from all over the world for their valued work. We hope that this special issue will serve as a true representation of IGTE 2006 and will be both interesting and informative.
