Stanley E. Fawcett is the Donald L. Sateheli Professor of Global Supply Chain Management in the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. Stan received his PhD at Arizona State University and holds an MBA and an MA in International Studies from Brigham Young University. He has published over 100 papers on the topics of supply chain management, performance measurement, manufacturing and logistics network design, and competitive strategy. He has taught executive education courses in North and South America in the area of supply chain design and integration. He is also an active participant in the Council of Logistics Management and the Institute for Supply Management.

M. Bixby Cooper is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University. He received his PhD from the University of Alabama, MBA from the University of Virginia and BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina.

Dr Cooper's research and teaching focus primarily on issues of marketing strategy, customer service and measurement of performance in logistics and marketing. He is a frequent speaker at management and trade conferences and has been an invited speaker on issues in supply chain management in Australia, Brazil, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong, as well as the USA. He is co-author of four books on distribution and logistics, including Supply Chain Logistics Management (McGraw-Hill Irwin, 2002), World Class Logistics: The Challenge of Managing Continuous Change, published by the Council of Logistics Management, and Strategic Marketing Channel Management, published by McGraw-Hill. His research articles have appeared in such journals as Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, Journal of Services Marketing, and the Journal of Marketing Channels. His consulting clients have included such major firms as Johnson and Johnson, Nabisco Foods, Ciba-Geigy, Du Pont, Westinghouse, Gillette and Zellerbach as well as many smaller firms. He also served for four years on the Executive Board of the International Customer Service Association as head of the Research and Education Committee.
